Congratulations Cassie and Mark!!

I’m the Maid of Honor – So a toast is expected of me

But since I also acted as Cupid – I do so totally with glee

But first some information – Fun facts I’d like to share

I’m been friends with Cassie – Since 7th grade, we were a pair!!

I was friends with Mark’s brother, Mike – Mark was two years behind

Cassie told me she liked Mark – But like most guys, he was blind

He asked me if she liked him – I told him to give her a kiss

If she didn’t hit him – She’d kiss back in heavenly bliss!!

After that first kiss – They’ve been a pair ever since

Although he’s an Auto Mechanic – He’s also Cassie’s Prince

Mark loves motorcycles, fishing and camping – And thankfully, Cassie does too

She works at Cingular Wireless – When friends have cell problems, she knows what to do!!

They are both very humble – And loyal people to the core

But give Cassie a couple of drinks – Her voice raises to a low roar

Cassie likes to go out for a good time – Whereas Mark enjoys just kicking back

Working on his motorcycle – Or putting his car up on the rack!!

Now it’s time to toast – This new husband and wife

May your love continue to grow – As you start your new life

May all your dreams come true – May life continue to be fun

May your journey be long fruitful – In the race of life that you run!!

A Toast To Our Granddaughter!!

As Grandmother and Grandfather– Of this beautiful bride

We rise to present a toast – And we do so with pride

Rosemarie is our first granddaughter – Of whom we are quite proud

When talking about her – We might even get boisterous and loud!!

Rosemarie and Brandon – Both are attending Drake

In the fridgid state of Iowa – Where a snow storm might last for days without a break

Brandonis majoring in Music – While History is Rosemarie’s love

They will each become teachers – Where we’re sure they’ll both fit like a glove!!

They each play Clarinet – And several other instruments as well

Yes, they are deeply in love – Which is very easy to tell

They’ve been planning this wedding – Since they became engaged last year

They wanted to share this experience – Their love of family is so sincere!!

Rosemarie’s sister is her Maid of Honor – Brandon’s brother is his Best Man

They too are a lovely couple – One never knows what is God’s plan

But now please all join with us – As we toast this new man and wife

We wish you happiness and success – As you walk hand in hand down the road of life!!

A Toast to Angie and Dan!!

I rise for a toast – Being the best friend of the bride

But first I’ll share some history – Let me be your guide

Angie and I have been friends – Since grade school, so long ago

She’s truly my best friend – Facts about each other we both know!!

Like the time we got home at midnight – Checked in and sneaked back out

Almost home the second time – Each of us gave a shout

In the road were 20 bouncing red lights – Coming straight at us

Angie was screaming, “back up the car” – A family of raccoons caused all the fuss!!

I really knew she was my friend – When she would drive my mom’s new corvette

Chauffeuring me in that brand new car – Angie, it’s something I’ll never forget

Angie is very hard working – But down to earth and real

But she also has this crazy thirst – For the extreme she can’t conceal!!

She likes to rock climb – Fishing and hiking outside

While Dan is quiet and nice – Taking all of this in stride

He’s also very artistic and loves to paint – A nature lover who likes to fish

As a couple they are perfect – Answering each other’s every wish!!

So now it’s time to toast – My friend Angie and her new groom

Let’s all raise our glasses – Each of us in this room

I wish you both much happiness – May your love continue to grow

May all your dreams come true – While down the road of life you go!!

A Toast to the Bride and Groom!

As father of the groom – I now rise for a toast

But first a little history – About these two, I might even boast

Coleman is our oldest – And works with me each day

He’s a graduate of James Madison – But McDonald’s gives him his pay!!

Ginny graduated from Virginia Tech – She’s an interior designer by trade

She loves to shop for shoes – As a buyer she’s unafraid

They both love going to the gym – It’s a time for them to share

And Coleman loves to party – When he does, he hasn’t a care!!

They grew up around the corner – But not connected till later in life

It happened at my 50th birthday – Soon they’ll be man and wife\

Coleman had his brothers – Write the proposal in the sand

Then he took Ginny for a walk – Kneeling down, he asked for her hand!!

I wish for you both a wonderful marriage – Just like Melinda’s and mine

Have fun and talk a lot – And give me a grand daughter so divine

Coleman said he wasn’t nervous – But I don’t believe that it’s true

He came to work looking spiffy – Wearing two different colored shoes!!

But now please join me – As we toast my son and his future wife

Let’s all lift our glasses – And wish them a wonderful life

May your love continue to grow – And all your dreams come true

May you both keep smiling – And be successful at what you do!!

A Toast to Elizabeth and Shaun!

Things have certainly changed – Since you two first met

Our family wasn’t excited – You were certainly a long shot bet

But Shaun hung in there – Showing he was in it for life

Loving my sister Elizabeth – And now making her his wife!

Both of you are dentists – In fact both sides of the family are

Shaun has a love for golf – Elizabeth has yet to make par

We treat Shaun as a brother – And love him through and through

We now have two Chinese brother in law’s – So this is nothing new!

But soon you’ll all see – When the newly weds take the floor

For the couples “first dance” – Trust me, it won’t be a bore

For they’ve been working hard – To get every move down pat

Since both are high achievers – We don’t need to worry about that!

But now please all join me – As we toast my sister and her new groom

Let’s all lift our glasses – Each of us in this room

May all your dreams come true – And your love continue to grow

May you always keep smiling – While down the road of life you go!!

A Toast to Julie and Jason!!

Being best friends with the groom – I proudly rise for a toast

But first I’ll share some history – Of which I’m sure I know the most

Jason lived behind me – We rode the bus to school each day

And after school it was basketball – Jason and I would always play!!

After graduating from Hayfield High – It was off to Radford U

To get his Sports Marketing degree – And meeting Julie, his biggest coup

This man has many hobbies – Like watching the WWE

Where oiled up men slap each other – Some call it wrestling, you see!!

He loves DC 101 Chili Cook offs – And the game of basketball

We used to take on the neighborhood – The young kids, one and all

Julie has a teaching degree – And her friend Snickers the Cat

She loves collecting anything Cow – I felt you should know about that!!

Julie has two sisters, Tara and Amy – Jason has a brother Mike

They are buying their first house together – Being traditional both of them like

Jason is always there – Whenever a friend is sad or in need

He will try to cheer you up – By planting a happy seed!!

Maybe get you talking about girls – Throwing out something off the wall

Pretty soon you’ve totally forgotten – What caused your spirit to fall

He still likes to play video games – And his new Scion TC car

My friend is young at heart – With that I know he’ll go far!!

So there’s a little history – But there’s more I want to say

God has a great plan for you both – Is something I want to convey

And after years and years of marriage – I hope you both are quick to smile

And remember that compromise in a marriage – Is a very successful style!!

So now won’t you all join with me – As we toast this bride and groom

Please all lift up your glasses – Each of you in this room

May your love keep on growing – May all your dreams come true

May you have fun and be successful – In everything you do!!

A Toast to Liz and Mark!!

We rise for a toast – We’re the sisters and in law of the bride

Mark, for a Texas Longhorn – You’re in for one wild ride

Liz is one high strung gal – For her, schedules are meant to be kept

Doing it less than perfect – Is something Liz will not accept!!

Growing up was special – Our house had a family of 9

We only had two telephones – But Liz had her own private line

Rooming with her as a child – Sister Carolyn will never forget

One thing would lead to another – They’d end up in a fight you could bet!!

Liz works as a bond trader – And this fact cannot be denied

“Don’t mess with the crazy lady in Chicago – Because you’ll get fried

She will not be ripped off – On the price of any of her bonds

And the boys in Memphisknow this – Mess with Liz, she’ll respond!!

Mark I’m sure you remember – That first blind date and the fun

Of course our Liz left early – She had to get her hair done

But we have to give you credit – We knew you were The Alpha Male

When Liz left tennis early – And canceled the appointment for her nails!!

At the family 4th of July party – That takes place in Michigan each year

With swimming, golfing and tennis – With maybe some scotch and beer

We’ll admit we were worried – About what your attire might be

We imagined tight tennis shorts and a Speedo – Not something we wanted to see!!

Liz is 41 and unmarried – In our minds she truly accomplished a coup

When Mark called for her hand in marriage – My mother responded, “Mark who”

We’re worried about our poor father – Retirement he might have to forego

And get back to work for a while – This wedding is costing big dough!!

Mark, we offer this word of caution – In fact “compromise” is the word

You might want to start working with Liz – It’s something she hasn’t heard

Seriously Mark, you’re lucky – Liz is very caring, generous and bright

Whenever she talks about you – Her eyes just shine with delight!!

Would you all please join with us – As we toast Liz and her new groom

Please all lift your glasses – Each of you in this room

May all your dreams come true – And your love continue to grow

May you always keep smiling – While down the road of life you go!!

To Allan and his future bride!!

Allan, since you were a baby – One prayer I would always pray

That you’d meet the perfect girl – I knew it would happen some day

And much to my delight – It truly was easy to see

The lord had answered my prayers – The first time I met Emily!!

You both were in the wedding – Carl was Allan’s friend from the baseball team

Sara was Emily’s friend – When Emily saw Allan, maybe he’d answer her dream

So she offered him a ride to the airport – From the start it just seemed right

We’d never heard Allan so excited – To him, Emily was out of sight!!

Emily fit the profile – Of exactly what Allan was looking for

A girl with a southern accent – And dark hair who wasn’t a bore

You began a long term relationship – With the courtship lasting 2 ½ years

Fortunately you worked for an airline – Texas and California is not that near!!

Emily came to Californiato visit – Spending 3 wonderful months with us

We truly adored her – And she was always polite and courteous

But still there had been no proposal – So off to Texas we all flew

Meeting at the Arboretum – Everyone had been briefed, Emily didn’t have a clue!!

Allan presented an engagement ring – Sister Amy recorded all of the fun

The rest of us got to know each other – Making new friends for everyone

Both of you love scuba diving – Or just staying at home to cook

And when one of you walks by – The other gives that loving look!!

You’re both very well educated – Emily graduated from Baylor U

Allan graduated fromWheatonCollege– And now he works for Jet Blue

Emily wants to work with children – And bring some brightness to their life

You’ll be moving to California– Now that you’re man and wife!!

You each have two older sisters – And Emily has an older brother as well

You each have nieces or nephews – As an aunt and uncle, you both excel

And with this love for children – Who knows what we might expect

If you want to make me a grandmother again – Really, I won’t object!!

Emily, I have a wonderful family – And believe me you’ll fit right in

I’m just so truly excited – Can you see it on my face with my big grin

I’m so excited for you both – You fit together like a glove

Yes, it thrills me to the core – That you both worship God, with so much love!!

So now I’d like to propose a toast – To Allan and Emily his future wife

May your love continue to grow – And may you enjoy a wonderful life

May you walk on the path of righteousness – And always continue to smile

And remember God is with you both – Mile after mile after mile!!

A Toast to Nicole and Greg!!

I rise for a toast to Nicole – My dear friend and bride

And Greg her new groom – Sitting proudly at her side

I grew up with Nicole – So I know her inside and out

Greg, you’re getting a wonderful wife – On that there’s really no doubt!!

Nicole manages a beautiful Spa – And a Plumber Greg will soon be

They’ve been dating for 8 years – And both of them love to ski

They both are quite thoughtful – Always offering help in every way

For two people this wonderful – It’s fun to share their special day!!

Nicole is very humble – But has a funny side too

Greg is sometimes very quiet – For Nicole, there’s nothing he won’t do

Nicole hates to eat Gravy – She’s Italian from head to toe

Maybe some day she’ll try it – She might be surprised, don’t you know!!

But now it’s time to for a toast – To this new bride and groom

Won’t you all please join me – Each of you in this room

May the love you feel right now – Keep growing day by day

When you look in each others eyes – May there be nothing you need to say!!

A Toast To My Sister The Bride!!

I rise for a toast – Because I’m the Head Maid

To honor my sister – And the choice that she’s made

We’ve traveled together – And lived together as well

But lives move along – And tomorrow, you can never tell!!

We have many of the same friends – And countless experiences we’ve shared

And when life seemed at it lowest – I always knew Liz cared

It’s been wonderful Mark – Getting to know who you are

And watching Liz’s expression – To her, you are a star!!

You’re a wonderful person – And a lawyer no less

Also uninvolved with investments – There are enough of us I guess

You are a great addition to the family – And I welcome you with open arms

You make the perfect couple – Bringing out each others charms!!

So please join me – Lets all raise our glasses high

For the best sister in the work – And Mark her wonderful guy

May the love you feel today – Keep growing day by day

When you look in each others eyes – May there be nothing you need to say!!
